SEO. It’s all about being seen.
The good news – it’s not rocket science. The bad news – sometimes it’s harder than rocket science.
Naomi Dunford of IttyBiz fame wants to take the rocket science away from getting traffic to your website, unless your website is about rocket science.
Her new ebook SEO School takes some of the mystery out of search engine optimization.
A word of warning up front - Naomi likes her swear words. She likes them a lot, f-bomb and all.
I used to work with a women named Kelly. She had a fantastic figure. Something about building a car every 52 seconds brings out the best in a woman’s figure. Watching her wiggle and jiggle around did wonders for relieving the boredom of factory work.
She also had the most incredibly spooky eyes. Very lucid gray-blue. Like the eyes of my dad’s Siberian Husky.
She was a lot of fun to be around. Kelly liked her cuss words too. I think she is the first woman I ever heard use the f-bomb in casual conversation. In fact, a break-room conversation with Kelly usually featured an f-carpet-bomb. Very few sentences escaped.
As strange as hearing a woman talk like that was for me, somehow it just seemed natural for Kelly to be doing it.
Naomi Dunford is like that. She’s different, but it seems like she should be and it’s OK.
You’ve been warned.
Another thing that Naomi Dunford does is write. Very well.
The truth is, you can find everything she teaches in her book for free on the Internet. Most of it will make your eyes bleed. I found myself laughing out loud several times while reading this book.
Laughing about SEO? Yes – really.
SEO School is as clear an explanation of the basics of SEO as you’ll find. Great examples and clear as a bell writing make it seem easy.
If you’re a beginner at trying to entice the almighty Google to find your site and spread your links far and wide, this book is a great place to start.
You won’t find deep dark secret Ninja tricks – the book cover not withstanding.
You will learn about the important basics. And even better, you’ll understand the important basics, when you finish this book.
And guess what – the basics are probably all you’ll need (unless you’re dumb enough to start a site about Internet Marketing that has absolutely no chance of being seen by anyone – like I’m doing with this one).
Oh yeah, it’s also pretty cheap.
I recommend it.
