FirePow Beta Testing

by Joe Mudd on June 26, 2008

FirePow promises a one-stop blog management system. I just accepted an invatation to be a beta tester for Andrew Hansen’s FirePow software.

I’ll admit that I wasn’t really sure what this was all about.

After looking around in the admin area, I’m beginning to think that FirePow could become a must have tool.

There do seem to be issues.

I was going to go into the beta user forums to ask a question or two. I was prompted for login details. I entered the info sent to me.

Nothing.

Kept getting bounced back to the login screen, with the message that my login details were incorrect.

I backed out to the original login screen and I could no longer login there either. Tryed several times.

Anyway, I did manage to make the system generate a new password for me and got back in.

What’s It Do?

After only a very quick look around:

  • FirePow let’s you create as many custom Wordpress blogs as you can stand.
  • Install a HUGE list of plugins, many of which are custom and pretty cool.
  • Manage themes for all your blogs.
  • Have one place to manage and post to all your blogs.

In short, this looks like a great tool for anyone wanting to do the virtual real estate thing of many blog sites.
