In his post How to Earn Your First Love Dollar , super blogger Steve Pavlina talks about the importance of dong something you love for little or no money.
He’s not suggesting that is all you should strive for. But he says, if you want to do work you really love to do, first you have to start.
“If you want to make a living (a great living), doing work you truly love, then a necessary first step is to earn that first dollar.”
That’s a point I was making in my earlier post about the Thirty Day Challenge. No matter how big you want your business to be, you have to make a little money first.
Steve calls it a “love dollar.”
During the Thirty Day Challenge we’ll be aiming a little higher. We’re going for $10. But we’ll have a month to do it.
And the Challenge will help those of us that are – its such an ugly word – procrastinators.
A big reason we procrastinators do what we do – put stuff off till later – is we see the big picture, the end goal, way down the road. One thing about that big picture…
It’s scary!
We need bite size chunks. Breadcrumbs down the path.
The Challenge provides us with a realistic goal – make $10 online in 1 month.
There are daily steps. A timeline to follow.
There is a community for support and also for accountability.
Its a chance make some love dollars and a new way of life.
